General Information on Acupuncture

You are welcome to find practical information on acupuncture under individual links on the right side of this page.

Acupuncture is a method used by Traditional Chinese Medicine. Stimulation of acupuncture points on the body leads to harmonization of the functions of the organism. This approach is often very effective in chronic difficulties in which methods of usual European medicine exhibit limited efficiency (or a good efficiency at the price of more or less pronounced side effects of pharmaceuticals). Acupuncture may be combined with usual medical approaches, e.g. with the use of medicaments.

So that to facilitate a long-term effect of acupuncture in difficulties of complex origin (e.g. often in musculoskeletal pain) it is necessary to keep regimen measures aimed to prevention of recurrence of difficulties (e.g. dynamic/static regimen measures, lifestyle measures, etc.).

Examples of difficulties in which acupuncture is often highly effective are listed here.
